deal with the perfection that is Dan and Blair.
That entire speech that horrible actress gives to Blair? And she realizes - she gets it finally - that Dan loves her? But more than that, and most important Dan loves Blair Waldorf because of who she is, not in spite of her flaws but because of them. He’s been understanding and accepting her since they were just sixteen year old kids. He went to her essay competition even though her own mother didn’t and god of course that stung for Blair especially when she was a teenager and Dan Humphrey went to it. I actually want to start crying because it’s so perfect. He sees every side of her, while everyone else pigeons Blair into who they think she is, Dan sees and loves and understands all of her. And god, that moment, that moment where Blair realizes the depth of his love and the way he loves her is so beautiful because no one loves Blair like that except for Dan. He’s been caring about her in these ways since they were sixteen. That honestly got to me, because he had absolutely no reason to be there, but he went. God how can anyone say these kids ever really hated each other? They make each other better people. Ugh my fucking heart.
